Ailie Holland is a novelist who lives in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. She loves to travel the world, and study history, theatre, art, and architecture. She also enjoys hiking in nature, and loves to absorb the magical energy of the land where her medieval and ancient ancestors once lived in northwestern Europe.
Her partner, Mathew, designed and built the environmentally friendly, earth-sheltered house they share with their talented son, his pet bunny Mister Neville Fuzzybottom, and their 14-year-old miniature schnauzer, Spencer. They enjoy dreaming and creating, discussing philosophy, and playing Jeopardy together every night.
Ailie grew up in a log cabin in a deciduous forest on Lookout Mountain in Georgia. She graduated from Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga, TN. She went on to study theatre at The Royal Scottish Conservatoire and Glasgow University. She graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts where she was a member of the Academy Company. She earned her BA in Theatre.
When she isn’t researching or writing, she enjoys reading, spending time in nature, teaching Improv classes, producing and narrating audiobooks, voice acting, tribal belly dancing, and sacred geometry.
